128km south-east of Melbourne.  A farming and holiday island noted for its wildlife, particularly birds, koalas, seals and fairy penguins.  Each evening at dust the penguins marching up the beach to their burrows can be viewed from designated areas.  Nights are cold here in winder, so bring warm clothing.  Easily accessible by road, or take a guided tour by coach or plane from Melbourne.
